Music and Entertainment Management

Our MA in Music and Entertainment Management looks at key concerns facing the music and entertainment industries, including intellectual property, the digital revolution and its impact across the industry, changing business models and how content can be monetised.

We will look at global strategy and issues related to leadership and management. The course also considers crowd and safety management, as well as an exploration of sustainability across the industry.

The teaching staff are experience music management specialists with significant industry experience. You will also benefit from specialist guest speakers from the industry and the opportunity to visit a range of music industry businesses in central London.

You can study full-time or part-time, allowing you to find in your studies around your personal or professional commitments. The two delivery options are designed to suit students’ needs. The full-time route is designed for those graduates who have an interest in the music industry but who have not necessarily studied or achieved qualifications in this specific area.

It will also be of interest to international students who wish to learn more about the UK music and entertainment industry.

The part-time programme is ideally suited for those who are already working, either within the industry or in another related industry, and who do not have the time to study full-time. Students undertaking the programme will often be those who wish to take on a management role within the industry or to run their own business.

If you do not have the time to commit to the full programme, it is also possible to attend just one of our subject areas as a stand-alone programme. This offers you the opportunity to build your knowledge and skills in a particular area and tailor the programme to suit your needs.

On both the full-time and part-time programme, you will benefit from our unrivalled industry contact and valuable networking opportunities.
