UK-based streaming platform Bloom.fm has closed after the sudden withdrawal of a key investor.

The company recently announced that it had surged past one million registered users in the UK, but now says it's "game over".

Last month, it confired that its first ever desktop client had gone into Beta testing and suggested that international expansion could be on the cards.
