Ed Sheeran, Libertines and Wiley songwriter agrees deal with Absolute for label

Jake Golsing’s Goldun Egg record label has signed a digital services deal with Absolute.

The songwriter, who has collaborated with Ed Sheeran, The Libertines, Wiley, One Direction, All Time Low, Paloma Faith, James Bay and Shania Twain among others, established the label which “shuns data-driven A&R” in 2007.

Absolute Label Services will provide digital distribution, marketing, retail sales and playlist promotion, sync, and content creation for Goldun Egg under the new deal.

“When choosing a distribution partner, I thought long and hard about who I should go with. The team at Absolute have shown me that I made the right decision.  It’s great to know that when I need something, there’s someone at the end of the phone and, more importantly, someone I can trust to get it done,” said Gosling.

“Nothing is too much to ask of the Absolute team and they continue to deliver on all levels.  They are so much more than our distribution team, they are now part of the Goldun Egg family.”

Absolute’s label manager, James Cattermole, praised Golsing’s A&R approach and welcomed the deal with Goldun Egg.

“Jake’s track record for discovering incredible talent and delivering hit records is unparalleled,” he said. “Myself and the whole team at Absolute are beyond excited to be working with Jake and the forward-thinking team at Goldun Egg.”

Goldun Egg’s current roster includes NUUXS, The Shantics, and Fergus.
