Samsung and Google Play up music effort in Latin America
Samsung and Google Play launched a promotion in September that will see all new owners of Samsung devices in 17 Latin American countries get a free six-month subscription to Google Play.
From November 1, any owner of a Samsung smartphone, Level device and tablet will get a free subscription for three months.
Latin America is largely dominated by Android. According to Kantar Worldpanel, there are 41 million smartphones in Brazil alone, with 90% of users running Google’s Android OS.
