Ten albums will be whittled down by ten judges and Tony Clayton-Lee to a winner during the judges private debate on the night of the 8th annual awards. The winning act will receive a cheque for €10,000. The shortlist for Irish song of the Year 2012 will be announced on January 30 with the public voting for their favourite song to decide the winner.
The event will be broadcast live on the Paul McCloone show on Today FM.
