Having landed a place in the BBC Poll of 2010, Owl City's success with Fragments around the world looks on track to be replicated here. A big hit, that promises to launch a career in the UK. (single, February 1)

HOT CHIP One Life Stand (Parlophone)

A darker sound is a deceptive contrast to the upbeat, rhythm here as Hot Chip return with the first single from their new studio set. An understated, affecting song that sticks with the listener beyond the first listen. (single, February 1)
