Name PR is one of the UK’s leading music PR agencies – clients include Nozstock: The Hidden Valley festival, the Forum Hertfordshire, Attitude Is Everything, WeGotTickets, Cherry Red Records, Cooking Vinyl, Essential Music & Marketing, Kobalt Music Group and Merlin. Previous artist campaigns include those for Nitin Sawhney, David Lynch, Stevie Wonder and UB40.

We’re looking for a Press Officer ready to play an important part in developing Name PR’s consumer division. Applicants will have been employed in a busy music press office; have an understanding of how campaigns are run; have good relationships with the consumer press and know how to get the best out of their contacts.

Festival PR experience and/or social media prowess is particularly welcome. We are also looking for someone who is open to getting to know the live trade and business side of the company.

This is an integral role within a growing organisation, providing on-the-job training with considerable scope for rapid progression and the opportunity of a say in the future of the firm.

Depending on experience, this full-time position offers circa £20k per annum, with a bonus for winning new business.

Applicants must:

  • have significant and proven experience of consumer music PR,

  • have exceptional writing skills, including the ability to quickly and accurately take notes and draft press releases,

  • have proven social media flair,

  • have excellent attention to detail,

  • be reliable, enthusiastic and creative,

  • be good with people for instance at events and on the phone,

  • be able to keep a cool head under pressure,

  • be comfortable learning new computer systems and have a good working knowledge of a variety of software.

We are preferably looking for applicants with:

  • proven festival PR experience,

  • an interest in business development,

  • a working knowledge of and interest in the latest music business issues such as ticketing and music consumption trends,

  • a working knowledge of Google Apps (e.g. Drive/Docs), Microsoft Office and WordPress.

  4. The earliest exact date that you could start, or notice period you would require if the role was offered.
