We are looking for a Business / Systems Analyst with proven experience working in the music industry to join a hugely successful music company.
Working across a broad portfolio of business critical systems, you will be the main conduit between the business and the technical teams, facilitating the translation of business requirements into robust technical solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most respected brands in the music industry and play a key role in the continual evolution of their IT systems.
The core focus of this role will be to provide the link between business stakeholders and the in-house technical team. You will be working in an international environment, with multiple systems in place, all of which communicate with each other, and are regularly used by the bulk of people in the company. Systems include data warehouse, finance, and operational applications, along with industry specific software, and they incorporate multiple workflows and contain large volumes of data.
You will need to work very closely with stakeholders across the business to build a detailed understanding of processes. You will then need to gather requirements based on what people want, and translate these into high-quality functional and technical specifications for the development team. At all stages you will need to consider the impact of any changes, and ensure the objectives of the business are being met. This is a brand new role, so you will have a great opportunity to make a real impact and a big contribution to the success of the company.
To be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record of commercial experience in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role, along with experience working within the music industry. In addition, we are looking for people with the following;
- Experience working on multiple integrated systems in an international environment.
- A proven technical background in application development, including database design.
- Exposure to both Oracle and SQL Server databases, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence software.
- Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to write SQL queries.
- Excellent requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills, and proven experience writing technical specs including high level design, process, data and technical operations.
