10 ways search engines should help battle piracy - according to PM's IP Adviser

The Prime Minister’s IP Adviser Mike Weatherley MP has released a detailed report to Government calling on search engines to tackle online piracy in their role as gatekeepers to the internet.

The research underlines the conclusion that piracy costs the UK’s creative industries around £400 million per year in lost revenue.

In the report, Weatherley suggests that Google should “take the lead in setting a responsible industry standard”.
