Apple music sales down 14% YTD, iTunes to absorb Beats Music in 2015 - report

Whispers suggesting that Apple will fold the recently acquired Beats Music platform into iTunes have intensified following a report that the tech giant’s download platform has suffered a 14% revenue dip in 2014 to date.

The Wall Street Journal cites sources close to the matter as saying that Apple’s music sales on iTunes have fallen somewhere between 13 and 14% in the year to date – that’s despite the company reported a record fiscal Q4 last week.
