Apple is negotiating with the major labels to lower licensing rates on streams, according to reports.
Re/code suggests that Apple is looking to lower the price of its streaming services – be that Beats Music or a revamped offering – to below the standard $10 per month level that platforms such as Spotify employ.
Sources say that discussions are still in their early stages, and that Apple will not be overhauling Beats Music until next year.
