Taiwan-based music streaming service KKBOX has received investment of $104 million and plans to use the funds for international expansion.
The cash injection comes from sovereign wealth fund Singapore GIC and will also allow the platform to develop its technical platform and services.
With over 10 million users, KKBOX currently has a presence in Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. The company launched in 2004 and has a catalogue of over 10 million tracks.
