Monster Beverage Corp has found itself on the end of another Beastie Boys-related lawsuit after losing a $1.7 million copyright battle with the band back in June.
This time, Capitol Records and Universal-Polygram International Publishing is seeking at least $1.2 million in damages for the copyright infringement of five Beastie Boys recordings and compositions.
As with June’s case, the claimed infringement comes from an online promo video for Ruckus In The Rockies – an annual snowboarding competition organised by Monster.
