Music creators join to demand 80% of streaming services' gross revenue

A group of musicians have banded together to demand "fairer rules" and "greater transparency" in the distribution of royalties by digital music services - asking for 80% of streaming services' gross revenues to be paid to rights holders.

Via a study titled Fair Compensation for Music Creators in the Digital Age, the International Council of Creators of Music (CIAM) calls for a number of proposals.
