POLL: David Cameron has this morning announced that Jeremy Hunt's successor for the role of Culture Secretary is to be Maria Miller MP.

With no personal experience of working in the music trade or any other UK creative industry, Miller's appointment could be considered as a devaluation of the Secretary for Culture, Media and Sport post.

Miller also takes on responsibilities as Minister for Women and Equalities, and is expected to divide her time accordingly.
