Sprint parent company SoftBank acquires $250m stake in Tidal - report

Telecommunications network Sprint and its parent company SoftBank have acquired a minority stake in Tidal, Jay Z’s recently-acquired streaming company, according to the New York Post.

Sources familiar with the deal estimate the investment to be around $250 million.

The New York Post also reports that Tidal claims to have signed up 100,000 new subscribers since its high profile, live streamed press conference and launch event last week.
