Main Duties:
- Managing all electronic and physical filing systems in the office, including archives.
- Managing rights management database and disseminating updates internally.
- Ensuring office is always organised and tidy.
- Processing contracts to be filed electronically and physically.
- Handling and sending out post, obtaining director signatures, answering telephone, taking notes and other departmental secretarial duties.
- Issuing internal updates on new signings / deals.
Requirements:
- Music Business / other similar degree or relevant experience.
- Exemplary Excel and Word program skills.
- An understanding of the difference between a Record label, Publisher and Distribution company.
- Basic understanding of music industry relevant contracts (records, publishing, distribution, licensing etc) - though a legal background is not required.
- Great attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised with excellent time management.
- Team player who takes instruction well but also works proficiently alone.
- Enthusiasm for the music industry, a basic understanding of the independent sector and a willingness to learn.
