BMG’s Catalogue Marketing Department is expanding! We are looking for a Label Manager, Marketing Manager and Marketing Assistant.

We are looking for highly committed team players who are keen to be part of the world’s fastest growing music company, BMG.

Label Manager:

This role initiates, manages and brings to market a broad variety of music products, including: catalogue reissues, branded retailer exclusives, special packaging, compilations and digital products. It works closely with Senior Label Managers, Catalogue Licensing Managers, Sales Directors and the Catalogue Admin support team.

You will be involved in Product Development, Product Management, Marketing and Brand Development and Business Awareness.

You will have Product/Label management experience in the music industry as well as experience in the management of marketing campaigns for both physical and digital product. We are looking for someone who has in-depth music catalogue knowledge, is proactive, has the ability to multi-task and manage their time efficiently in a very busy department whilst taking pride in and ensuring their work is of an excellent quality.

Marketing Manager:

This role works closely with the wider Catalogue Marketing department (including Label and Product Managers and our in-house Design team), artist management, PR agencies, social media, promotional teams and consumer and trade advertisers.

You will plan and execute marketing strategy for domestic priority artists, releases, labels and campaigns across our catalogue repertoire ensuring commercial and promotional opportunities are maximized and oversee the running and development of various company and artist websites, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook ensuring that you are working in line with commercial objectives.

You will have marketing experience in the music industry, either in frontline or catalogue, and have developed and utilised marketing avenues for effective communication. We are looking for someone who is conscientious, creative, curious and analytical with a ‘can-do’ attitude and can brainstorm and develop marketing ideas through to execution, managing the campaign at all times often simultaneously and under pressure.

Marketing Assistant:

This role supports the Marketing Manager with the day to day marketing operations of the Catalogue Marketing department. It works closely with the wider Catalogue Marketing department (including Label and Product Managers and our in-house Design team), artist management, PR agencies, social media, promotional teams and consumer and trade advertisers.

You will create content for various social media channels, such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook ensuring that the content is maintained and up to date on a variety of content and artist websites. This role involves measuring the performance of all campaigns, through SEO/SEM, marketing databases, PPC, email correspondence, social media activity and display advertising. You will be expected to carry out a range of administrative duties for our artists and labels, and for the Catalogue Marketing department.

You will have experience of working with PR companies, have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal diplomatically with artist managers in a polite and professional manner. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and can use their own initiative to suggest new and fresh ideas. 

About the Department: 

The Catalogue department is one of the UK's leading reissue and compilations specialists, releasing around 300-400 good value, high quality CDs, digital products and playlists per year right across the musical and entertainment spectrum.

Key artists that we work with include Madness, Erasure, The Kinks, Black Sabbath,Motorhead, Fatboy Slim and Nick Cave.

We also release a number of ranges of themed compilations and playlists.
