Downtown Music Publishing is seeking to fill the position of Copyright Coordinator, in the Administration department. The preferred candidate will have at least one year of music copyright, licensing and/or administration experience. The Coordinator will be working with the Director of Copyright in all areas of copyright as required.

Responsibilities include :

  • Enter and maintain copyrights in the Music Maestro database;
  • Register all repertoire with PRO’s, societies, DSPRA’s and sub publishers worldwide via CWR;
  • Process CWR ACK files and manage/resolve counterclaims and conflicts on a worldwide basis; and
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Copyright

Should Have:

  • Passion for music, numbers and details
  • A strong command of Counterpoint Music Maestro
  • A strong analytical mind and a love of Excel
  • Experience using Microsoft Access
  • A strong desire to improve music publishing and rights management processes
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and exceptional teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high productivity environment with tight deadlines
