ICE Services Ltd

Formed by PRS for Music, GEMA and STIM, ICE Services Ltd is a brand new international company designed to simplify the process of digital music licensing across Europe and beyond, ensuring that associated royalties are paid quickly, accurately and effectively to our songwriter, composer and music publisher customers.

We operate in a fast-moving and sophisticated market and are looking for proactive, flexible, energetic people to join us in this exciting new venture. As a “start-up” in a highly fluid and complex market, ICE Services will require all of its employees to adopt a flexible, positive and entrepreneurial approach to the developing requirements of their role and responsibilities.

ICE Services currently has a unique opportunity for a Data Analyst Specialist. The role will help inform licensing strategies within negotiations, and business development licensing opportunities by producing key insights into the digital music and video space.

Reporting directly to the Head of Licensing, the Data Analyst Specialist will produce and present analysis and insights to the licensing team to feed in to all key negotiations and to support the development of licensing strategies. You will develop dynamic models which identify trends in engagement, listening habits, monetisation per use and genre insights (among others) to support the licensing team with partner negotiations and meetings by using in house BI tools, attending all digital service provider key business reviews, and drawing upon wider industry resources.

You will also provide key analysis to include in licensing governance processes and deliver quarterly business reviews to stakeholders and customers that incorporate rigorous research and analysis and are delivered in a clear and concise manner. This will require strong presentation skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate and articulate reports to a variety of different audiences.

The role also offers the opportunity to engage in project based work that feeds in to the wider business, including identifying and instigating BI tool and systems developments that are required to effectively perform your role and provide the best possible service to the licensing team and stakeholders.

An understanding of copyright economics and industry standard accounting principles, data and practices is preferred but transferrable analysis experience will also be considered. It is essential that the role holder has excellent Excel skills to include Power Query and Power BI as well as other visualisation tools. Confidence and approachability are important in this role as the Data Analyst Specialist will be required to respond to queries and provide ad-hoc reports regularly. Further to this you will require a strong background in data analysis, with a commercial understanding of reporting and data modelling practices.
