Project REMIX

PPL are embarking on a large scale transformation programme, to enhance the business and technology processes and systems which support the services we provide to our record company and performer members.

As part of REMIX, we have planned a work stream that will establish a formal Data Governance structure at PPL, to ensure that the needs of ‘data stakeholders’ across the business are recognised and protected during system and process changes, and to identify and manage the data improvement initiatives that are required for successful transformation and improved operations.

What you’ll be doing…

As a Data Improvement Analyst on the REMIX project you’ll be working on a series of data improvement projects, undertaking analysis to explore data sources, identifying and measuring data quality issues, and determining the key data improvements that will deliver value back to business users and ultimately PPL’s members. You will apply critical thinking to logically approach new data sources/systems, and then perform the necessary exploratory analysis and measurement in order to be able to provide insight back to business stakeholders.

What you’ll need…

As the ideal candidate for our Data Improvement Analyst role will have an inquisitive mind-set and will not be afraid to challenge traditional ways of thinking and working. You’ll have an analytical and thorough approach to work, and have the ability to work in a structured and methodical manner to a high degree of quality. You will be detail-oriented, with a willingness and aptitude to explore, understand and troubleshoot data inconsistencies.

The successful candidate will have….

  • 2+ years of relevant experience of analysing data quality, and reporting/presenting on findings

  • Experience of working with large and complex data sets

  • Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to translate business needs into logical rules, and determine appropriate analysis to undertake

  • Ability to translate analytical findings into business friendly language

  • Proficient user of SQL databases and analytics tools

  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to logically approach a problem

  • High level of competence with Microsoft Excel and other Office suite tools

  • Basic statistical skills

  • Experience of producing documentation/specifications for data

  • Good understanding of data modelling principles

What we have to offer…

When you come on board at PPL you can expect to be competitively rewarded for your hard work. You will be entitled to 25 days annual leave. You will also be entitled to a wide range of benefits to support your needs and lifestyle, including Private Medical Care, Season Ticket Loan, Childcare Vouchers, Life Assurance, Discounted Gym Memberships and many more...
