Are you ready to play to sell out audiences, and enjoy critical success? The Musical Theatre department is at the forefront of our pioneering approach to education. Students study an innovative curriculum combining an academic education with vocational training in creative and performing arts. Their achievements testify to our success, as do our alumni, a number of whom are now household names. Past students can be found taking on lead roles in West End productions, featuring in television dramas, alongside setting up community theatre companies and working within performing arts-related industries.
We have a track record of staging large-scale productions in the School’s theatres, as well as many studio showcase performances. These projects give students a real insight into the demands of tackling high quality repertoire. We are proud of our success and want to do more. Our ambitious students are versatile and passionate. They are keen to innovate and push the boundaries. In this area of all areas, we recognise the importance of anticipating need, challenging standards and responding quickly to a rapidly evolving education and employment market.
As our new Director of Musical Theatre, you will already have an outstanding track record of success. You will feel equally comfortable developing relationships with the industry, alongside continuously improving performance and making strategic decisions which will impact on the education of our students. You may already be working in education or alternatively your track record may have been gained in music, theatre or dance. You will have a level of credibility and confidence that will allow you to quickly establish your reputation both within and outside the school. In addition, you will bring passion, inspiration, a team ethic and a commitment to the highest standards.
In return we offer an opportunity to work with students with extraordinary talents and colleagues who are tirelessly committed to our values and beliefs. Together, our aim is to give students the experience, skills and confidence to fulfil their dreams and aspirations.
