Person specification
We are looking for a well-connected, and experienced music industry professional music industry professional who will be able to develop and expand BIMM London’s connectivity to the current music industry in all areas.
The role will involve overseeing all industry placements provision for higher education (HE) students and work experience for further education (FE) students. You will also deliver a set number of career development tutorials each week, and be responsible for arranging various extra-curricular activities relevant to the curriculum on our BIMM courses.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work with the BIMM team and to contribute to all HE courses in partnership with the University of West London.
Essential Criteria
- Proven record of music industry experience
- Strong networking skills and relevant industry connections
- An area of specialism within the music industry (ie. label experience, artist management, event management, booking, digital media, marketing, A&R, PR, tour management, etc)
- A degree level qualification and a teaching qualification or willingness to gain one
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience of managing multiple projects all set to deadlines
- Evidence of leading creative projects to completion
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within Higher Education
- Qualifications or skills in career advice/counselling/work experience placements
- A teaching qualification
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Risk Assessment
