Handle Recruitment are searching for an International Accounts Executive for this Music Licensing Company based in London. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the revenue collections and distributions for various Music Licensing Companies (MCLs) globally. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with MCL counterparts and also an in-depth knowledge of the workings of their clients in order to maximise revenue potential.
The successful candidate will have advanced excel skills and previous account / client management experience within a comparable environment.
Key Duties:
  • Working with the International Accounts Manager to oversee the operational management of assigned MLC accounts; and deliver the agreed budget for these accounts
  • Proactively build effective working relationships with MLCs, liaising with them to ensure maximum revenue is generated for Company Members
  • Developing a sound knowledge of music rights and the distribution policies in order to provide guidance and an excellent service to all customers 
  • To capture key claims, distributions and payment dates, deadlines and any changes thereto for consolidation and management in a central operating plan
  • Orchestrating the processing of both incoming and outgoing International revenue repertoire declarations, claims, mandate disputes, rights holder conflicts and customer data related to MLCs
  • Assisting in allocated claims made by MLCs by carrying out fact finding and problem solving as required to ensure claims are concluded satisfactorily
  • Working with the team to coordinate the production and refinement of detailed policies, processes, systems, reporting and training documentation in a timely manner
  • Working with the team to maximize the accuracy and completeness of key data-sets to maximize revenue claims and distributions
  • Collating and disseminating regular international updates to both MLC’s and key internal stakeholders
  • Supporting the team with the development, implementation and continuous improvement of processes and systems 
  • Giving presentations to others within the international team and other parts of the organisation in order to share knowledge and ideas
  • Providing support to any departmental or inter-departmental initiative
  • Must be available to travel internationally if necessary
 
Key Skills / Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience working in an account and or relationship management role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; conversational foreign language desirable
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills – specifically Excel (knowledge of Pivot Tables)
  • Has an interest and base understanding of the music industry, particularly collective music licensing
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • A positive and enthusiastic, can do attitude
