Universal Music label Decca is the home of classical music. With a rich catalogue of artists across the Decca Classics and Deutsche Grammophon labels including Gustavo Dudamel, Nicola Benedetti, Daniel Barenboim and Renée Fleming, we represent some of the world’s most celebrated classical artists. Joining us, you’ll put your media skills to the test and make sure these musicians are heard on an even wider scale.

About the role

This key role is all about promoting our classical artists in order to drive their coverage and develop their online media presence. So drawing on your classical musical knowledge and taking a fresh approach to promotion, you’ll plan and roll out effective and high level media campaigns for a wide range of artists on our roster. That means working with the marketing department and developing creative ideas to secure opportunities for exposure across all channels – from TV performances, press features and session opportunities, to radio broadcasts and social media interactions. It also means building strong relationships with the media, as well as with our artists, their managers and their label representatives; making sure everyone is kept right up to date with digital developments and forthcoming campaigns. We’ll also look to you to attend meetings, events and promotions as necessary. And by keeping an eye on the on-going performance of the campaigns, you’ll ensure we’re making the biggest possible impact on the classical market.

About you

Experienced in the creation and delivery of creative media campaigns, you’ll be hugely passionate about classical music and have built up a strong and established book of contacts within this market area. A broad understanding of emerging opportunities will put you at a real advantage, whilst a working knowledge of online media is a definite plus. Most importantly, you’ll be a real self-starter with the enthusiasm to drive an artist’s profile forward and the kind of communicator who can develop relationships at all levels. Flexibility, organisation skills and the ability to adapt to the changing market will also be crucial.
