British Recorded Music Industry (BPI) Ltd

The BPI represents the UK’s recorded music industry, which is one of the most exciting and thriving music sectors in the world. British artists account for one in eight albums purchased by fans around the globe

The BPI’s Copyright Protection Unit works closely with member labels to reduce the harm done to the Music Industry from Online Copyright Infringement and develop long term strategies to disrupt websites which seek to profit from the illegal distribution of our members’ content.

These strategies include issuing notices to sites, removing infringing links from search engines and working closely with law enforcement agencies to disrupt infringing activity online.

In our continuing efforts to improve our services to members, we are in the process of developing an online Member Services Portal, which will quickly allow members to view, in real time, the activity we have prevented and/or disrupted.

We are looking for a lively, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to manage the portal, identify and deploy resources required to deliver BPI’s Anti-Piracy Strategy and coordinate with developer to resolve or escalate performance issues, and carry out other membership related tasks allocated by the Head of Internet Investigations.

This will be a customer-facing role and the successful candidate will be computer literate with an ability to adapt quickly to a new interface and have data inputting & analysis experience. They will have knowledge of search engines and copyright related issues and possess a high level ability to identify problems, analyse performance and deliver comprehensive reporting as well as bringing in new ideas and the benefit of previous experience in a customer-facing role. They will need to be proficient in Word and Excel and have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Independent Label experience and knowledge of label repertoire would be an advantage, although not essential as would previous database management and or project management experience

To apply, forward a CV with covering letter to antipiracy@bpi.co.uk
