THE ROLE

We're looking for an ambitious PR & Events Assistant to join our growing team, full-time. Working across all our clients, from global brand campaigns to music festivals, alongside our in-house projects, you'll be based in our Dalston office, overlooking Hackney Downs.

PR (60%)

  • Music and Entertainment-focused PR campaigns across national, lifestyle and specialist media
  • Continually building relationships with contacts across print, broadcast and online
  • Maximising social media opportunities
  • Setting up and managing media partnerships
  • Researching and writing press releases for range of campaigns
  • Day-to-day contact with media in/out of the office
  • Writing weekly reports for clients 

Marketing (10%)

  • Planning and executing promotional campaigns (print & online)
  • Working closely with designers to ensure timely delivery of design assets
  • Management of cross-promotional campaigns
  • Liaising with artists and management to compile copy and assets for events

Live Events (10%)

  • Managing travel and itineraries for artists, media and staff
  • Media & artist liaison at events
  • Procurement and management of third party suppliers
  • Monitoring ticket sales and preparing guestlists for events

Admin & Office management (20%)

  • Company diary management
  • Booking travel for clients and colleagues
  • Research on competitors, clients and new trends
  • Contributing to brainstorms and developing ideas
  • Filing and systems management
  • Preparing meeting minutes
  • Management of company website and Twitter
  • General office management

THE PERSON

  • Minimum 2 years agency experience in communications/PR preferably with entertainment/events experience
  • An understanding of brands and how they operate within the cultural world
  • Highly competent copywriting skills
  • Able to adapt style and tone for different clients/projects
  • Super organised, motivated and results-orientated
  • Strong media contacts – a proven record of flourishing in a media-facing role
  • Proactive and able to use initiative to make things happen
  • Interest and knowledge of emerging digital opportunities
  • Passionate about live events, marketing and media
  • Highly active and personally interested in the music/cultural scenes
  • A self-starter who wants to get stuck in!

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

2:1 University Degree preferred
