Role Responsibility

As the Product Manager you will be responsible for the physical new releases and catalogue titles across
Demon Records, Crimson Productions and Edsel, plus when required product management of other key
Demon labels to ensure each are delivered on time and to our high standards.

The Demon Music Group team is a small and supportive one, you will need to demonstrate; a can do
attitude, enthusiasm and passion for music.

Accountabilities

  • Product management of all releases on the schedule to deadline, within budget, and to a high quality. This includes compiling, management of the licensing process, briefing of designers and mastering companies, working closely with operations, sell in of titles and management of titles across Amazon.
  • Origination of new product ideas and ranges in conjunction with sales
  • The creation of timely marketing materials and sales notes to sell in each release
  • Setting up and implementation of each labels releases on key online accounts
  • Chart reporting and sales analysis of label performance


Strategic Planning & Decision Making

  • A need to demonstrate strong planning skills, be methodical and well organised as a means to be able to
  • manage a busy workload of releases. Be able to work autonomously, but manage a range of external
  • suppliers, plus influence key internal members to deliver product on time.

Relationships

  • Key relationships within the business with the Head of Product & Marketing, Operations, Sales, and licensing. Externally key relationships to be developed with design and mastering companies, and on occasion artist relationships.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Essential to demonstrate specific catalogue marketing experience, in particular working effectively under pressure and with a large workload.
  • Must have a solid knowledge of 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s pop music, and a broad knowledge of all genres. Itis essential the successful candidate has knowledge of repertoire owners, both from majors and Indies.
  • Must have experience in creating CDs, vinyl, and box sets
  • A passion and enthusiasm for catalogue marketing and attention to detail is key. Be able to understand price points, fan bases, formatting ideas
  • A strong understanding of licensing process
  • Strong presentation skills both verbally in product presentation meetings and through the creation of marketing assets
  • A strong understanding of licensing process
  • Experience of working with design and mastering companies
  • Able to use the OCC to generate chart reports

Are you the right candidate?

  • You will ideally be educated to degree level and/ or be able to demonstrating a strong music background (knowledge is more important).
  • You must be numerate, computer proficient, have good presentation skills be able to demonstrate music knowledge, and techniques in researching projects.
  • Ability to work with Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, SAP Purchase Order Management.

Professional Experience

  • You will have product management experience is desired within the music industry, or a similar industry
  • Able to demonstrate working on a demanding product releases schedule
  • Experience of working with designers / mastering / authoring companies
  • Social media experience is highly desirable
