Handle Recruitment are looking for a knowledgeable and talented Production Manager with proven experience of leading and developing a team. Managing the team of 6 you will supervise the output of products including CDs, DVDs, TV programmes, tour materials and much more across multiple genres of contemporary, catalogue and classical music.
The role will oversee major projects and all administration attached to these including an archival and digitising initiative.
This position is Maternity Cover for 12 months to start mid-January 2013.
Key responsibilities:
- Line management of 6 production staff including regular one to ones, team meetings and annual appraisals
- Supervising all departmental output across multi-media production projects e.g. CDs, DVDs, TV programmes, tour materials, website & stores, books and exhibitions.
- Production planning
- Carrying out quality control on projects and ensuring that deadlines are adhered to
- Overseeing legal/business affairs sign off on all elements of projects
- Regular liaison with Senior Management
- Preparing in depth progress reports
- Editorial co-ordinator for projects - engaging journalists and writers
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
- A background in the music industry or media production
- Extensive line management experience gained in a production environment
- Proven senior project management experience
- Detail orientated and excellent proof reading skills
