The role

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Programming Assistant to join the Programming and Education & Outreach team to support the delivery of our diverse range of programming at the Hall. Working primarily on events in our main auditorium, this person will assist the team with tasks including reviewing and contracting new hire requests and maintaining excellent links with event promoters.

The post-holder will take responsibility for preparing main auditorium contracts; developing and maintaining good relationships with promoters, agents and internal departments; helping maintain an accurate diary of events; undertaking research projects; and providing efficient administrative support to the Head of Department and wider Programming and Education & Outreach team.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional administrative and organisational skills and display flexibility and initiative in their approach to time management and prioritising tasks. A clear and effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, they will have some experience or understanding of working in the event industry, especially the arts, and be a keen music consumer with a good knowledge of a variety of genres.

Candidates will have a professional manner and excellent attention to detail, and some experience working with contracts would be beneficial. The role would suit a confident team player who is keen to develop their event experience.
