The PR division at Handle Recruitment are looking for a Publicity Officer with strong music PR experience to join one of the world’s largest entertainment companies.
Working with the Publicity team, exclusively for one of the company’s subsidiary record labels, this is a unique and rare opportunity to create integrated PR campaigns for a roster of internationally known artists.
Reporting into the Head of Online Publicity and Head of Press, the ideal candidate will have previous experience promoting artists to online, national and consumer press. Specific responsibilities include blog seeding, securing editorial placements including audio/video premieres, and regular liaison with the company’s A&R, Marketing, Social Media and Promotions team to ensure integration of PR activity within wider artist campaigns.
Requirements
- Previous experience creating PR campaigns at a record label or within a specialist music PR agency
- Established media relationships with bloggers and national, consumer and online press outlets
- High level of written and verbal communication, with the gravitas to handle senior client contacts and deliver high profile projects
- Understanding of the music landscape, particularly dance and urban music
- Able to work to tight deadlines with strong time management skills
- Creative and innovative ideas to plan strategic artist publicist campaigns
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to build relationships
