PPL Member Services
PPL’s Member Services department are looking for people with a passion for music and for providing excellent customer service. PPL’s members include major record labels and independents as well as globally successful performers and session musicians, ranging from orchestral players to percussionists and singers. The Member Services team strives to provide an excellent service to these members, acting as their first point of contact from registration through to helping them manage their PPL account on an ongoing basis.
What you’ll be doing…
Do you enjoy problem solving and analysing data? Do you enjoy developing relationships and delivering great results? If so then you’re set for great things when you join our Record Company Services team, who work with PPL record company members. Part of this work is to successfully ensure the resolution of disputes where two or more record companies are claiming ownership of the same recording. The team are seeking a Record Company Disputes Specialist to manage and coordinate the disputes process, ensuring all the data in relation to disputes management is accurate and up to date, whilst effectively communicating with record company members..
This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent knowledge of music rights and repertoire and experience of working with complex data to put their skills to the test. In this role you will be expected to analyse and reconcile complex data, check for accuracy, communicate with members and manage the disputes process ensuring this is done in a timely manner.
What you’ll need…
We’re looking for a motivated and results driven person with previous experience of working in rights management or working with complex data sets. The ideal candidate will have experience of analysing and reporting on data and should be a confident MS Excel user with ability to do v-looks ups confidently.
Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate the following:
- Ideally two years in rights management or working with complex data sets..
- Previous experience of reporting and analysing complex data
- Knowledge of rights management is helpful but not essential
- Demonstrable experience of working as part of an effective team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
