SENIOR TICKETING EXECUTIVE

Salary - £Negotiable

 

SJM Concerts are at the forefront of the Live UK Music market. We promote the biggest UK acts and many world leaders in the concert industry. We account for around 5 million ticket sales a year.

 

We require a Senior Ticketing Executive to manage our Ticketing Department, interact with ticket agents nationally and embrace the technological advances in the industry implementing improved collation, reporting and auditing of all matters relating to our ticket sales and improving our inter department communications and systems.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an executive who is a hardworking, strategic thinker with sales, ticketing and business development experience. You will have a hand in shaping the future of an already highly successful business, develop a market-leading entertainment ticketing platform, develop revenue management and build third-party relationships to help further grow the business and ticketing inventory, focusing directly on the whole of the UK.

 

 

THE ROLE:

 

Oversee the ticketing operation of SJM Concerts to get the best out of existing staff, develop collation of sales, reporting, auditing and distribution and embrace new technology in the market place.

SJM is based in Manchester City Centre, the role will be based full time in Manchester.

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

You will naturally be driven by opportunities to improve the running of our ticketing operation, utilising existing staff but introducing new systems and methods of operation. You will develop relationships that yield results by growing our commercial interests across this industry in the UK market. This is a hands on ticketing, sales and business development position that requires a passionate and well-connected professional executive who is capable and has vision.

 

 

 

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

 

Candidates must possess the following when applying:

 

- Previous senior management roles or proven potential to run a ticketing operation of this size.

 

- Possess at least 2 years proven successful experience in a role of similar stature.

 

- Experience of account management.

 

- Accuracy and attention to detail, together with excellent presentation and communication skills.

 

- A natural collaborator with entrepreneurial drive, with a strong appreciation of business and commercial values, able to advance relationships to drive new growth.

 

- Excellent influencing skills with the ability to direct someone to action without direct management responsibility.

 

- Adapt and agile, comfortable with ambiguity, able to re-prioritise in a highly dynamic sector with big personalities and unconventional thinking without losing focus on meaningful growth.

 

- Have an excellent knowledge of the market as a whole

 

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise an often conflicting workload.

 

- Have brilliant people skills and an ability to get the best out of colleagues

 

- Confident in working autonomously, presenting to key decision makers and able to manage and prioritise multiple work-streams and accounts simultaneously.

 

- Provide regular market analysis and presentations to senior partners

 

- Demonstrate a high degree of creative thinking and ability to pay particular attention to detail.

 

- Be very comfortable with figures and incredibly numerate

 

- Ideally you will have extensive knowledge of the UK live events industry, whether from a music, sport or entertainment background, however this is not essential.

 

- Resilient and tenacious; calm under pressure.

 

- Computer literate – Microsoft Office, advanced Excel.
