JOB SUMMARY

Joining a growing Neighbouring Rights team in London, reporting to the Registration & Claims Manager, the Society Relationship Manager will manage our client roster at Neighbouring Rights societies around the world. The role involves working with internal client and recording databases, liaising with society contacts and using their databases and general administrative work.

This role will be the first point of contact for liaising with societies and ensure any action points on either side are executed as well as investigate requirements for registering clients in additional target territories.

WHAT DOES A SOCIETY RELATIONSHIP MANAGER AT KOBALT DO?

  • Process client and agreement related information (database work)
  • Ensure all client related information (personal information, discographies etc.) is up to date and correctly registered with the Neighbouring Rights collecting societies
  • Deal with duplicate claims, disputes and society queries
  • Identify gaps in payments from societies and work with the society to maximize future payments
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of society issues, qualification criteria and distribution policies as well as current industry news
  • Ad hoc projects as requested by Senior Management
  • Provide training to new staff members
  • Travel as required to meet business needs

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

  • Experience of working in a similar Neighbouring Rights role is essential
  • Extensive experience in dealing with the U.S. based societies Soundexchange, AFM-AFTRA and AAR
  • Excellent understanding of Neighbouring Rights
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work accurately, independently, to strict deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to track and monitor documentation processes in an efficient manner
  • Excellent management skills
