AEG Live is in talks to acquire New York-based independent promoter Bowery Presents, reports Billboard.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1993, Bowery owns, operates or has exclusivity on venues such as New York’s Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge and Rough Trade. It also stages shows at Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center and Brooklyn Bowl, among others.
Earlier this month, AEG’s main rival Live Nation acquired a majority stake in Founders Entertainment, producers of New York’s Governors Ball festival.
