BBC Music's The Biggest Weekend Festival signs deal with Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster has signed an exclusive ticketing deal with BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend, holding over 175,000 tickets for fans.

The Biggest Weekend will take place on four sites across the UK over the May bank holiday weekend from May 25-28. The line-up so far includes Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Snow Patrol, Beck, Billy Ocean, Nigel Kennedy, Manic Street Preachers, Eliza Carthy & The Wayward Band, Courtney Barnett and Pubic Service Broadcasting with more to be announced.

Andrew Parsons, MD of Ticketmaster UK said: “Arguably the biggest event of 2018, BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend will bring the world’s top artists to audiences across the UK.

“We are incredibly proud that Ticketmaster’s experience in facilitating events of this scale has been recognised in such a way, and our teams right across the country look forward to providing fans with a seamless ticketing experience.” 

The company aims to use state of the art technology for the festival’s ticketing requirements across Belfast, Coventry and Perth with Swansea opting to use Ticketmaster’s paperless tickets. 

Tickets will be available from Ticketmaster from February 12.
