Grassroots venue circuit backs 'common sense' new legislation

Campaigners bidding to safeguard the future of the small venues circuit have warned the battle is not yet won, despite welcoming Government intervention on the issue.

New regulations, which come into effect on April 6, mean developers are now required to seek prior approval on noise impacts before a change of use from an office to residential building can be carried out.
