Grassroots venue warning: support needed now

As the UK music business rallies round Fabric nightclub, new figures show a decline in concert revenue from grassroots venues has caused live earnings to drop for the first time in four years.

Published today, the latest edition of UK Music’s Measuring Music report, shows live music contributed £904 million in economic output in 2015, down from £924m the previous year, although still up 37% on the £662m garnered in 2012.
