Organisers of the Larmer Tree Festival has appointed two new team members after confirming it will return in 2018.
Held annually at the Larmer Tree Gardens near Tollard Royal on the Wiltshire-Dorset border, the event took 2017 off for “a much needed rest”, but will be back from July 20-22 next year.
Sarah Dennehy (pictured) has joined as creative director, and will lead on programming. She is currently also executive producer on Festival Of Voice, a new biennial international arts festival for Cardiff, which she launched with Wales Millennium Centre for 2016. Priors to this, Dennehy, who has programmed and produced festivals in the UK and abroad, worked for Hay Festivals, and as creative director for Brecon Jazz Festival.
Rachel Kinchin, who has worked on events such as Edinburgh Fringe and Folkestone Triennial, will head-up the festival’s marketing and communications.
The duo join Larmer Tree’s existing team of operations director Lucy Babb and the board of directors James Shepard, Julia Safe and Rob Challice.
