Live Nation dominates H1 2016 promoter ticket sales chart

Live Nation sold more than twice as many tickets as nearest rival AEG Live in the first half of 2016.

Pollstar's half-year rankings show the global promoting giant sold a total of 14,935,322 tickets during the period. AEG came in second with 6,966,853 tickets sold. The Top 5 was completed by Mexico's OCESA/CIE, US live show production company Feld Entertainment and the UK's SJM Concerts.

Other UK companies to make the Top 100 were Kilimanjaro Live (25th), DF Concerts (30th), Phil McIntyre Entertainments (36th), 3A Entertainment (37th), Marshall Arts (50th), ITB (61st), Cuffe & Taylor (62nd), Kennedy Street Enterprises (76th) and Raymond Gubbay (83rd).

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band lead the 2016 touring chart, moving more than 1.5 million tickets. Coldplay, Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Justin Bieber, Iron Maiden, Maroon 5 and Muse are also included in the Top 10.
