Solo Agency MD and Isle Of Wight Festival promoter John Giddings will take part in a new feature at this year’s Live UK Summit, as organisers mark the 10th anniversary of the conference and networking event.
Giddings, who works with the likes of The Rolling Stones, U2, Madonna and Sting, will be the subject of The Live Story – a retrospective interview with special guests, film clips and audience interaction.
The Summit takes place at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London’s West End on Wednesday, October 12.
Other speakers include politicians Sharon Hodgson and Nigel Adams, Lord Tim Clement-Jones, Coda Agency’s Alex Hardee, ATC Management’s Brian Message, Mark Walker of Kilimanjaro Live, Andrew Parsons of Ticketmaster, Richard Wetton of Amazon Tickets and O2 head of music sponsorship, Paul Shulver. Registration costs £135+VAT.
New sessions include The Showcase, discussing the elements required for a successful event from the perspectives of promoters, venue operators, agents and managers, and Logon to the Future, a look at the impact of YouTube in breaking new artists.
“Part of our focus this year is to celebrate the success and vibrancy of the grassroots music scene and its continuing success at developing artists for the future,” said Summit executive producer Steve Parker.
“It is amazing how many people work so enthusiastically and imaginatively across this sector.”
