Former PIAS man launches new music and events PR agency Copacetic

Former PIAS UK head of digital PR Lucius Yeo has launched Copacetic, a brand new music and PR events agency.

The new agency, which will have offices in both London and Singapore, will provide creative communications services for artists, events and festivals, specialising in print and online PR, blog and social/new media outreach and consultancy.

Following five years at PIAS UK and over 12 years in the business, Yeo recently left his role as head of digital PR to launch the new venture. In his role at PIAS he was responsible for digital PR activity across various PIAS divisions like Play It Again Sam, PIAS Cooperative and PIAS Artist and Label Services. He also oversaw campaigns for Pixies, Soulwax, Agnes Obel, Ghostpoet, Raf Rundell (The 2 Bears), Black Sabbath, Dead Can Dance, Dinosaur JR, Holy Ghost!, Laurent Garnier, Motörhead, Tiga, Vessels, Vitalic and Violent Femmes.

Based in East London, Copacetic will launch 2017 with campaigns for French fashion/music brand Kitsuné, DC electronic legends Thievery Corporation and two hotly tipped Swedish acts Djustin and The Legends.

In addition to London, yeo will also base his operations in Singapore.

He commented: “The music scene in Singapore and the region is thriving, especially over the past few years. A lot of talented artists like Linying from Singapore and Yuna, Pharrell William’s protégé from Malaysia are making waves here, there is also a huge talent pool of new acts and festivals waiting to be discovered and I am looking to provide them with the opportunities to raise their brand here in the UK and introduce a new audience to their music.”
