Radio’s power to break songs looks under increasing threat from streaming, with some of the biggest 2016 airplay hits failing to cross over to Singles Chart success.

Music Week research shows that four of this year’s Top 10 airplay hits, and seven of the Top 20, fail to make the corresponding overall Singles Chart for the year to date.
