Help Musicians UK and PledgeMusic to host emerging artists showcase evening

Help Musicians UK and PledgeMusic are presenting a showcase evening featuring live performances from four of the successful acts that have come through their joint Emerging Artists Fund (#EAF) programme: Telegram, The Pearl Harts, Mullally and Elf Kid (pictured).

The showcase will be at The Lexington in Islington on Tuesday, May 10, with the first band on-stage at 7.30 PM. All the details are on the below link.

The Emerging Artists Fund was launched in 2015 and saw over 350 UK acts apply for the £50,000 funding scheme, together with an opportunity to run their own PledgeMusic campaign.

A panel of expert judges including Tom Robinson (6Music), Steve Levine (record producer), Kwame Kwaten (ATC Management), VV Brown (artist), Paul Lester (Music Journalist), Sean Adams (Drowned In Sound), Tor Ree (A&R Polydor Records) and more selected a total of 20+ acts to benefit from the scheme.

Paul Barton MD PledgeMusic UK co-sponsors of the showcase said: “I’m delighted by the overall success of the Emerging Artists Fund and even more so that we can present some of the artists live on stage. PledgeMusic is committed to helping artists at all stages of their career and particularly to be part of the process that uncovers new talent as this programme with Help Musicians UK has proved to be”.

Claire Gevaux, creative director Help Musicians UK added: “We’ve been looking at new ways to channel much-needed support to musicians in the early stages of their careers. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with PledgeMusic over the past year to identify upcoming acts, invest in their potential and to celebrate the success of the Fund at this highly anticipated showcase evening”.

Pre-showcase drinks will take place downstairs at The Lexington from 5.30pm – 7.30pm. The music showcase kicks off at 7.30pm upstairs.
