Rising Amsterdam based singer-songwriter HEBE isn't ashamed of expressing her emotions on her new single “Take Him Down”. Produced by Jack van de Ven and co-produced and mixed by Huub Reijnders, the new song, which you can stream for the first time below, is set for release on the 23rd June via HEBE-MUSIC ahead of the release of her upcoming 9-track album titled “Tell Me”.
“Take Him Down” is a powerful up-tempo electro pop track that blends defiant lyrics with a grounded yet melancholic and powerful melody line. Speaking about “Take Him Down”, HEBE says: "This song is about letting out rage, about being angry without boundaries. Sometimes I can barely suppress the tendency to kick and scream, to cry in the train, to just let it all out. Usually I become quiet when I’m angry or sad, but in ‘Take Him Down' that anger and grief comes out. No silence, but feeling without shame."
“Take Him Down”differs strikingly from HEBE’s latest single “Tell Me”, which focused on keeping our emotions to ourselves and coping with fears, and reinforces HEBE’s use of awide range of tones in order to find the balance between the melancholy and power in her tracks.
This summer HEBE is travelling through The Netherlands with one of the biggest festivals ‘De Parade’, she has also been chosen to travel 44 cities throughout her homeland with ‘De Popronde’ (September- December).
