Apple surpasses 40 billion App Store downloads
The Apple App store has broken through the 40 billion unique app downloads milestone, with 2012 alone seeing 20 billion downloads and the month of December achieving a record-breaking 2 billion downloads.
The App Store now boasts 500 million active accounts and 775,000 apps for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch in 155 countries.
