Abbey Road Studios has won the British Inspiration Award in the music category, following last year’s winner, Sir George Martin.
In the fourth year of the awards, which recognise and celebrate achievement in the creative industries, Abbey Road triumphed in the category over 6Music, Gary Barlow, Gareth Malone of the Military Wives Choir and Jools Holland.
Sir Peter Blake CBE, who designed the 2012 BRIT Award statuette, was bestowed with the Special Recognition honour.
