AIF calls for standalone festival tariff

As PRS for Music mulls the terms of its Popular Music Concerts Tariff, the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) is calling for a separate rate to be introduced for festivals.

Last week, PRS published a summary of responses from its near six-month consultation period on the terms, which are applied to ticketed live music events such as concerts and festivals. The tariff was originally set in 1988 and is 3% of gross box office receipts per event.
