Alt-J, more than doubled sales of their album An Awesome wave last week after winning the Mercury Music Prize, with a 150% week-on-week sales uplift.

The win helped give them their highest chart position to date since the record was released at the end of May 2012.  The album jumped 13 places in the Official Albums Chart from Number 27 to 14, charting higher than any of the band’s fellow nominees.
