Alt-J hit new US chart high

Barclaycard Mercury Prize winners Alt-J have leapt into the top half of the Billboard 200 chart for the first time.

The band, who played a series of live dates in the States last December, move 166-87 with debut album An Awesome Wave, which has won support from a variety of US alternative radio stations, including LA's KROQ.
